If you’ve ever dreamed of writing a song, recording it, and having a copy of it, this is the class for you!

We will create music from the ground up — playing with words that become lyrics, sounds that become tunes, the ways they intertwine with each other and then reach out to the universe where, hopefully, they’ll get stuck in a lot of brains.

We’ll go through the theory of your song, explore examples that will help you strengthen it, and then nourish and finally harvest your creations.Whether you’re into jazz or folk rock, ranchero or trance, pop, hip hop, or something you’ve just invented: the thorough and supportive environment in this class will help you find the right words for the right notes and make music.

Everybody will leave this class with a few ideas to work more on, and one finished song, set to music and sung.

A bit of musical knowledge is needed, but just a bit.
